The construction of the 100th school was celebrated this year by the members of the Costa Foundation. It is an institution with volunteers from all over the world, operated by the Costa Coffee company internationally with a single mission: To improve the lives of boys and girls in coffee-growing communities by providing them with the opportunity of a safe, quality education.

To date, the Costa Foundation has built 100 new schools in 10 countries, with more than 838 classrooms, giving more than 100,000 children access to education and thus facilitating families from Ethiopia, Zambia, Colombia, Honduras and other communities, who work in the coffee plantations.
